Last night we started the harvest!!! Night harvest – perfect for maintaining all the freshness of white varietals. Grapes were picked and transported to the winery at night to avoid any oxidation that hotter day time harvests can produce.
In this vineyard, called Pago La Cantona, located in Villafranca de Duero we are picking Verdejo for our Castilla y Leon wines. This photo captures the speed of the machine harvested on its way to deposit grapes in the ” vineyard winery” – a Fariña creation that takes the winery to the vineyard during harvest.
