"Since I was a small child I saw my father make wine - nurturing it, tasting it, bottling it.... From as long as I can remember I had a dream to one day make my own wine and show it to the world. Over time I began to believe that it was possible to make that dream come true and more so, it was worth trying.
From the very beginning it was clear to me that the only way to achieve my dream was through focusing on quality and to make a wine with its own very distinct personality. This dream, over time, became reality through sheer conviction, belief and thorough hard work. And I still work to keep fulfilling that dream and all the others that come along as my journey continues.
In the middle ages TORO was one of the most important wine making regions in Spain. I believed that tradition was not incompatible with new ideas and modern techniques. Over the last 20 years or so I have strived to prove that modern methods only enhance what the region has to offer. We have built new wineries with state-of-the-art technology and we have new established benchmark criteria at harvest time in the vineyard and in the winery - all based on the same grape that has always been here - our own and unique "Tinta de Toro".
Today it is my sons, the third generation of Fariña winemakers, that carry the same beliefs and passion into the future."
